Following the set up of new offices in Singapore and Sydney covering the Asia-Pacific-Africa, PICA has been awarded several major contracts. The quality and the performances of its solutions enabled PICA to double its turnover in the region in one year, with breakthroughs in the following fields:
Singapore: A new PICA base overseas, with successful results.
- Water treatment: PICA and VWS South East Asia have together qualified coconut based activated carbons in Singapore with the PUB (the public water treatment utility), for drinking water, as well as with major players of micro-electronic industry, for ultra-pure water. Our customers have thus made the choice to shift from coal based activated carbons to a "green" product made from renewable materials.
- Gold mining: PICA has become the number one supplier to the Australian market and has won numerous new projects in Malaysia, New Zealand, Ghana, Burkina-Faso... PICA's supply chain, strong presence on the field and unique "carbon Testing and Circuit Audit" services have made the difference.
- Pharmaceuticals: PICA has successfully qualified its products at a dozen major Indian pharmaceutical companies, for the decolourizing and purification of active ingredients.
