PICA is supplying the new drinking water treatment plant of l' Haÿ-Les-Roses (94), Eau De Paris (EDP) with Powder Activated Carbon (PAC) - this plant is operational since the end of January 2009, with a capacity of 150.000 m3/day.
PICA and the Opaline® process
Developed by Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, in collaboration with PICA, Opaline® is an innovating process which combines membrane technologies (Ultrafiltration or Nano-filtration) and filtration on activated carbon. It thus allows an optimal elimination of the pollutants (pesticides and micro-organisms), that guarantees in any circumstance the public health of delivered drinking water.
PICA is regularly delivering the powder activated carbon necessary to produce 150,000 m3 /day of drinking water for the supply of the town of Paris.
