Eliminate odors emitted by sewage treatment plants

Issues:

Waste water site treatment

Waste water site treatment

The collection and treatment of waste water involves the formation of malodorous compounds, which are less tolerable if the facilities are located in an urban or residential zone. The production of these odors must therefore be limited at the source to the greatest extent possible, and foul air must be treated effectively in order to avoid its spread into the atmosphere. Activated carbons have an important role to play in this respect.

Solutions:

The principal sources of odor emissions are collection points (sewer openings, sewage lift stations, etc.), often located in urban environments. In response to this, PICA has developed a specific filter, delivered ready to place on sewer openings. The filter contains activated carbons in granular form, impregnated or non-impregnated according to the odorous compound requiring elimination and the intended level of performance.
