Coconut shell: raw material of PICA' activated carbons

PICA activated carbons are the product of plant matter (coconut and wood) or mineral matter (coal) from our partners/suppliers based primarily in Asia, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, and Vietnam.

Whether derived from coconut (50%) or raw or impregnated wood (30%), the resources utilized by PICA are generally renewable. The only exception is coal (20%), which is considered a fossil resource.
