Technical support

Precision is required to ensure the installation or removal of activated carbon. Effective responses require experience and anticipatory skills. In the event of technical problems, it is generally preferable to avoid lengthy breakdowns in the manufacturing or treatment processes at the client site (potable water factory, purification facility, incinerator) so that the activity is not interrupted for too long. Therefore, all installation, analysis and carbon extraction are carried out at the client site by autonomous PICA teams of specialists.

Establishment of the RPP (Risk Prevention Plan): this is established jointly by a PICA inspector and the client before the first on-site service visit and allows for verification of compliance with conditions for on-site equipment and security devices.

Loading and start-up of GAC filters: this is carried out using a tanker or super sacks whose content is transferred using an eductor.

Analysis of carbon saturation: GAC material is regularly sampled and analyzed in PICA laboratories to evaluate parameters (iodine index, mineral load, volatile materials, granulometry) and to effectively plan treatment (regeneration).

Removal and recovery of used carbon: the GAC material is slurried from the filter by an eductor using clean water, and then transported by tanker truck for recycling or destruction.
